I think the thing, with how immature middleschoolers are, is that such friendships can be genuine at times and very abusive and exploitive at other times. The scenes at the concert could have easily been genuine, while at school she was very different and manipulative for the most time.
The way i see it is that this relationship basicly shaped Kon entirely, while i interpret it that for Zanari this whole thing was much less important. I see her slightly guilty face she makes in >>281427295 as a sign that she probably didn't really think about what happened back in middle school.
