Because POO, Yoshida wants Denji turned into a weapon as soon as humanly possible so he can erase Death-chan. He said as much. Death however doesn't want that, or at least is pretending in front of Denji how she's trying to prevent this, and so Yoshida's and Yoru's goals align to a great extent in this battle. Both want the same thing, Death defeated and erased and Slurpji weaponized. So do Asa's goals because deep down she does not want to die.
