I’m actually very mad over Aoyama and Invisible Girl in MHA since they’ve could have been far better characters since the start and become unlikely and surprising duo in the middle of the story.
But Hiro waited till at the very end since he treated the two as a mystery box. Of “he’s the traitor” and “invisible girl, sexy.”
The general plot is a mess since they’ve focused too much on a single school year for everything to happen when it honestly could’ve been slower paced from year to year. It doesn’t help that whatever the people wanted with Ochoco, Mina, and Shoto’s egg reserve and Denki was actually done with them instead.
Which is fine, if, you know, it was done much earlier.
This is also a problem with Dabi since he had this clear set up with Geten that implied the two had the same serious weakness from their own quirks. And then they did nothing with him except make Dabi center himself on some big plot twist. Cause, you know, they gotta center Dabi on the big mystery and they’ve never thought about him actually having a life as a much higher character priority.
It also gotten really annoying when they throw in some more random galleries of villains to the forefront that had nothing to do with the Nomus, the liberation army, or went to the insane “erase quirks” direction. All because they grabbed whatever grounded stakes were there in the first place and set them on fire.
