The tour guide, while being somewhat of a poly/omniglot, is probably well-read enough to translate his usual tour guide-y spiel, but falls back on his native Chinese names of the springs because it takes much less effort than trying to remember/construct 50 different language forms for the literal hundreds of springs he oversees.
