Anon, are you insinuating that - up to this point - you were under the impression that Germans were openly selling CP on their equivalent of eBay? Either what he purchased fits the definition - and thus wouldn't be available for sale in either country - or it was available because it doesn't and he was picked up by a law enforcement system that's known for forcing confessions out of suspects right before the Tokyo Olympics.
It should be remembered that red China and Putin's Russia have lower rates of conviction than Japan does.
