Imagine if I as a renaissance era soldier decided that I hated guns so much that I believed combustion should no longer exist since they killed my friends and actually went through with it. Firstly I would have destroyed the sun, secondly I would have prevented the development of cars or any form of oil or coal power and thirdly I would have killed all humans as the reactions within our cells are mostly forms of combustion. This would of course be an unspeakably retarded decision from even the persepective of someone at the time, but that's what he's trying to do.
