To a lesser extent, 3. A lot of artists derive their creative genius from the suffering they go through, be it experiences or fucked from the start with poor immune systems or other genetic / vaccine induced maladies (e.g. allergies).
Now combine that with occupational hazard of deadline stresses + frequent all nighters causing lack of sleep == it's no wonder.
Also in fairness it's a bit of a... I forget the term but you only really hear news of people dying.
