Fans coping. Bisquefags doesn't want to admit it, but this series pretty much the usual wish fulfilment romcom only with a slight tweak.
There's nothing inherently wrong with these type of shows, but the fans tries to make it bigger than it seem and different from the peers by saying stupid shit like:
>"Marin is the self insert!! Gojo is the catch!!!"
>"This is a show for women!!!"
When in reality, the majority of Bisque viewers are men. And almost everyone who watched this only talks about Marin. Nobody cares about Gojo. Anyone who ever watched or a proper shoujos should be able to tell that Gojo is literally non character with 0 appeal for women when compared to actual attractive protagonist.
Compare it with his fellow Gojo (Satoru) from JJK. The series got plenty of sexy girls and good looking men, but not a single one came close to Satoru's popularity.
While in Bisque case, Wakana could've easily been replaced by someone else, and people opinion of Marin (and her series) wouldn't change in the slightest.
