>Shimizu: (laughs). Well now... Director Okawa mentioned a few things during the stage greeting, but precisely because he loved both works so much, his desire to "pack in this and that" was incredibly strong. Finding the right balance between what we could get Okayed within the budget and schedule was truly challenging. But there were quite a few moments where I found myself wondering "should I side with the director here?" What was particularly memorable was the ending (Pretty × Activity). The ending sequence features original artwork all drawn by Okawa. While it's not normally a process where we'd want the director to draw the key animation, he had such a strong desire to do it himself that we allowed it to proceed, but thanks to that the result turned out truly remarkable. The audience response was really positive, so I'm glad we went ahead with that. Though (due to time constraints) I was nervous about it back then.
>Yoda: At Tatsunoko Productions when the CG work was reaching its conclusion, I still hadn't received the storyboards for the ending. So I was wondering "oh, you're still working on the ending aren't you, right?" (laughs). When the storyboards arrived, I was talking with Otobe and the others saying "it looks like the mascots are dancing around..." "But this mascot probably doesn't move, does it?" But when I finally saw it, the mascot was dancing like crazy (laughs).
>The mascot collaboration in the ending was brilliant, wasn't it? The backgrounds too.
>Yoda: I was astonished. So when I asked Okawa, he said "I drew the original artwork myself." "That would've taken a lot time, wouldn't it?" Perhaps it's only because we finished it safely on time that I can say this.
