At this point, I feel like the smart thing to do would be for Desmos to force a teamup battle, but one that Mikagami himself isn't allowed to participate in. Its just members of his harem fighting alongside each other, and those fights have been rigged to lose. Which can happen, because without the Mikagami factor they know what they are dealing with.

This would lead to a defeat scenario where Mikagami himself is left alone, but he loses members of his harem to someone else. And then they do it again. And again. Intentionally pruning off his support network and leaving him either solo or with just one other person left by his side, and then putting him in a matchup designed to break him.

So basically you escalate the sense of threat by taking away characters that are on his side and making them prisoners of someone else's harem that he can't touch or use anymore, leaving him weakened and upset enough that he starts making mistakes/taking risks trying to get them back.
