if it isnt broken i guess theres no reason to upgrade. how do you obtain the older builds? i imagine this is like obtaining an old patch of any other software where if the creator no longer hosts it, there is the problem of finding a trustworthy website to download it so you dont get a virus or something on your computer DLing it from some random website?
SAI? as in paint tool SAI or whatever fro like a decade ago? they made this? thats crazy. im surprised they released this for free and never charged people for it. What was in it for them?

are these different builds of SD but branches other people have turned into something else? like they took the source code but changed it and made it their own project?

can you still get the older model easily from the creators website or do you have to track that down? I have seen some AI art that is an obscene scale like really large. I have no interest in that but im curious what program does that since looking around it seems like SD makes relatively smaller images. like 1024 by 1024? ive seen some stuff that is really high resolution like 2000 pixels high maybe more maybe 2500?

i used to make a lot of art the old fashion way so this entire premise is interesting to me. ill definitely share some cool stuff i make and throw it your guys way at some point.
