I'm absolutely fine with slowburn but Val's romance is so slowburn it's not even in this Chapter. It just feels sabotagey not to get her pregnant through force as it currently stands. I think what gets me about it the most is how there are so many times in the game where you could throw in a scene of her in a love context yet there is none despite her being one of the first girls you actually interact with, it's as though the dev forgot about her. Elin's and Sera's slowburn is great however.
