If you look at what blue team is demanding before they vote to end the shutdown, you'll see it's almost identical to the list of allocations cancelled when orange man shut down USAID.
What's happening is senior bureaucrats and politicians are having a temper tantrum because their money laundry was shut down and they haven't been able to siphon off as much taxpayer money. Are red team the Good Guys? Certainly not, but they aren't the ones holding the country to ransom over spending they refuse to pass in a democratic manner (introducing a bill to Congress, like you're supposed to do)

In my gap year I applied for over 400 jobs, online and in person, and got one response and one interview, but I didn't get that job because they decided they needed a customer service guy instead of a developer.
This was what finally made my parents realise the world has changed since they were my age. They actually believed I could just walk into a store, shake the manager's hand, and be hired immediately
