I never said that. Far from it, meeting those norms never gave me pleasure. Even when I graduated from a top university with a high GPA, I always felt empty. It was the same with standard dating: I wanted to ravage the girl right then and there, not take some long walk along the waterfront. So in the end, I became a hedonist, and I'm glad I did.
