The dog was leaving her open air prison and trying to access the humanitarian corridor of the rest of the house. he literally said his mom spoils the dog by letting her roam around the house, something he does not allow

the dog cried in pain, kind of stiffened up and then turned around and went back on her bed and didn't make eye contact
