Politics is entertainment for stupid people, and a propaganda and population control measure. The real people who make decisions pay for them. Anything they want to do, they will. Rights mean nothing to them except as something to provoke your outrage. If they want to violate them, they will. If they want to strip them away, they will. Nothing you do can change this. You have no power. Ultimately you will end up in the same place, the only difference is how much time you've wasted caring about something that was being used to manipulate you.
