Iraq and Libya were the beginning. To be clear I don't mourn Hussein or Gaddafi at all, but the facts are still that they either gave up or failed to develop nuclear weapons and foreign powers then came in and took them out. But I think Ukraine was the turning point- if they hadn't given up their weapons in the 1995 agreement their would have obviously been no Russian invasion and I think a lot of lesser power countries saw that. Perhaps that even explains Iran recently increasing their enrichment despite Trump tearing up the JCPOA all the way back in 2018.

Taiwan would be smart to go nuclear as soon as possible.
