No. Hitler was neither unironically nor ironically a genius. He was not a genius in any circumstances, real or imagined. He was a deranged, self-important maniac, just like -- well -- just like The Orange Pestilence who currently inhabits the White House in Washington, D.C., and Miry-Log-O. He was nothing more than a salesman, and the product he was selling was a simple, "Make the Fatherland Great Again", and just like the Trumpanzees, the German people ate it up. You have to know the history of Germany to understand why so many Germans responded to Hitler's Big Lies (yes, Hitler and Goebbels were the originators of the concept of "The Big Lie"; or, rather, they were the first ones to describe the concept in writing. (Trump would later try to emulate Hitler by incorporating the "Big Lie" tactic in both his presidential campaign and during his time in the Oval Office).
Hitler was a big-mouthed, antisemitic, narcissistic conspiracy theorist with a god complex--just like Trump is today.
The only reason Nazi Germany got as far as it did was the military leaders who commanded the German troops. Hitler just sat back, watched everyone else do his planning and work for him, and took the credit for everyone else's efforts--just like Trump does now.
There was nothing genius in anything that he said, did, or proposed. In fact, just like Trump today, the few ideas that Hitler had or tried to implement failed. Even his book, Mein Kampf, was a poorly written literary work; amounting to nothing more than the rantings of a deluded madman.
