This is the weirdest thing to me. I went to school with people who would call themselves Italian. It was literally their great grandfather (not even the the mother) who was born there, but they would act as if they were full blooded even though they couldn't speak a lick of it. I genuinely don't understand claiming to be something you're so distantly related to while also encompassing almost none of the culture. It's always Italians to and I don't get it.
