Well honestly, I don't think it's a recent development and even if it was it doesn't make it any better or easier for any of us. For once in my life I am ashamed to be an American, Trump was made out to be the chosen one, to drain the swamp. I believed it, I voted for him. Now he has made "the swamp" effectively undrainable for the next 100+ years.
