She physically brace for impact when Nick speak these days, you can see her breathing a sigh of relief when whatever he says is not that bad. Lately she has said snappy remarks also, like he needs therapy, etc. Not to mention how cold she acts, barely looking at him and seem to avoid eye contact as looking at him would invite him to say something stupid. Relationship is doomed, hope he's wise enough to not introduce her to his mother tbh, he went alone today I hope but should skip bringing her tomorrow also
