I felt exactly like that when I found out about the 1980 US/JP co-produced TV movie of James Clavell's Shogun.
Totally devoured the book and then later I get to watch this 160 minute beauty with Richard Chamberlain and Toshiro Mifune.
Uh uh uh I dunno, money laundering? The writers from the Deadpool flicks work on it so I'm going in with exceptionally low expectations.
Probably gonna hate it and put on Waterworld or some Mad Max stuff instead heh.

Yeh that's very true, it's a much different experience and level of immersion. Matrix was such a blast, you don't really get that at home.
