I wanna put my 2 cents in here too. The idea that the free distribution of most media, such as music, movies, and video games, supposedly reduces the value of said content and reduces the drive to make it, sharply contrasts with how people tend to discuss media that involves the sexualization of fictional children, wherein the claim that any distribution, monetized or otherwise, encourages not only the creation of said material, but that it also somehow encourages real life harm via productions involving real children.

On no other site do I ever get to complain about this hypocrisy.

In fact, I'd go so far as to argue that use of fictional children in said media helps to satiate and regulate urges of pedophiles, and so loli and shota hentai should be encouraged to exist. Pushed far enough, oversaturation of media with the sexualization of fictional children will kill novelty of the matter and cause fatigue of it instead, which would cure SOME pedophiles, because some get their rocks off on the matter specifically because it's novel and taboo, rather than pure pedophilia.

The taboo nature of the sexualization of children also inhibits discussion of matters that are perceived as sexual, but aren't actually inherently sexual.

What's worse is that many people fighting against this are later confirmed to be pedophiles themselves, who are always into worse stuff. Assholes trying to screw everyone over on every front!
