My theory is that much like with Bruce Timm, that is the direction they have to choose to keep the lights on.
Essentially either you stand with the pedowood cabal or get out of town.
No ifs nor buts.
That is also why their recent work sucks and even cannot deny they have lost the motivation to do anything funny because they cannot even be true to themselves, they are part of a propaganda machine and they trust their audience to simply stop watching so they can collect from """Comedy""" Central, and they were sincere back with the assburgers episode and told the truth then.
They are doing this for their paychecks and they have to provide for their families, whatever we think of them don't change that fact.
