As opposed to communism, which is authoritarian, single party rule, and no checks on power, which actively encourages the most ruthless sociopaths to rise to the top, because there is nothing at all to stop them other than more sociopaths also grasping for power.
Any idealism is almost immediately destroyed by power grasping sociopaths.
