more that I was grossly overreacting to things that happened to me, didn't help that people would be all "I'm so sorry omg that's awful ur so strong bla bla bla" when I'd tell them about shit that was mild compared to what others went through, realizing recently that it wasn't that bad (ironically very common rationalization used by others) and that I don't need pity is helping me, at least for now
