I think we're moving towards an internet culture where everyone sticks to canon like it's a religion in order not to offend anyone. It stifles creativity and creates little content dictators who get dopamine hits from telling people their content is 'problematic'. /hhg/ has a massive problem with this. I'll have people come up to me and be like 'Mills, did know incest/lolisho/necro is bad?' ...Like, yeah. That's why we have fiction to safely explore these topics. As long as people aren't being assholes and forcing it on people, then let people ship/write/draw what they want. That's not even touching on the tumblr types who say you cant love Al if you're white. Al doesn't care. He can't. It's why I've never really cared either unless it's being spammed to try to annoy me. I just sit out material I find distasteful. He doesn't need me to fight his battles, heh.
