The very first episode of the anime establishes Satoshi/Ash as 10, and every other series will go out of its way to establish that he is somehow still 10 despite a 1000+ episodes passing. And unlike Satoshi/Ash, Red does get to occasionally age up some with him being 14 in GSC/HGSS and an unknown adult age in SM/USUM. In fact, 11 is the youngest a game protag has been confirmed.
