Boy couples and their dynamics and relative roles are an inevitable topic of discussion on a cute male board. And some people, seemingly most shota artists, idealize and fetishize blond boys as being pretty, soft, gentle, etc. and therefore fitting more into a more submissive/receptive role in relationships. I don't personally agree with that, but I don't consider it racist despite being blond myself. I think it's flattering that Japanese artists and people influenced by them see blondness as part of a standard for beauty.
