If I were Viv I probably would have dropped it altogether. There really wasn't much need for anything in that episode apart from establishing Vox's plan. Which isn't the best plan? We know that God exists now (Vox referenced him, and the Speaker is basically the Holy Spirit), and I'm assuming that Viv is using Catholic theology (Abel makes the sign of the cross & Pentious is redeemed by faith + works), so wouldn't God just kill him? Everything moved at such an ADHD pace that it was hard for me to get a grip on what was happening. And Baxter adds...what exactly?

I think Viv only wants fans to like Val because Viv likes Val. Anyone in their right mind would know that a rapist/sexual abuser is a bad person and would treat them as such. Viv and co. really need to keep that stuff to AO3 and not in the main show. Let the man be evil.
