The fact that the recent SAG-AFTRA strike basically caused everyone to turn on them when people realized they were being disingenuous pricks and trying to shame foreign companies for not signing a contract that said companies legally can't sign has to be the biggest indicator of just how stupid they think people are.
The hilarity was that it unironically caused people to realize just how fucking full of shit they are in terms of existing solely to keep the industry in LA
