Being as perfectly objective as I can be (since I was a B&M fan), Billy and Mandy is just way stronger conceptually. Pulp Science Fiction is like one of those first go-tos of any cartoon pitch. Even ordinary shows often did one-off episodes with the premise, like Ren & Stimpy. It's decent enough, but if someone said to me:

>Pitch 1: A crab is captain of a rocketship!
>Pitch 2: Two chaotic children outsmart death itself and as punishment is forced to be their best friend
I know which show I'm picking.
