The earlier seasons were the best overall. A few episodes like "Arthur Makes Waves" were comfy and episodes like "The Contest" was based. And then there were episodes like "Arthur's Big Hit," "Attack of the Turbo Tibbles," "Arthur's Knee" went way harder than expected for a kids show on PBS.
The middle seasons before the switch to flash animation were okay at best, although a few episodes like "The Frenskwire Sisters Show" were fun and "The Agent of Change" pulled no punches. In retrospect, however, those Lance Armstrong episodes aged like milk ever since that doping scandal. Those were as awkward as that Milli Vanilli episode of Super Mario Bros. 3, that Mark McGwire mention in an episode of Cyberchase, and that Slammin' Sammy: The Sammy Sosa Story video.
The latter season (seasons 16 through 25) belong in a dumpster fire.
