Solar and wind only makes sense in extremely specific parts of the US. The rest of the US should be majority running on nuclear. Cutting down on the "24/7 economy style". Like shut the fucking lights off when it's dark, and using the appropriate crops for the appropriate location based on soil and climate. The biggest sin is traditional farming in the fucking desert instead of drip line systems that just dumps a retarded amount of water and wastes it, looking at Arizona that sucks the blood dry out of the surrounding states for water. The US is a giant fucking waster of raw resources. Especially the metric-fuck-ton of food wasted alone at grocery stores and restaurants. I will never forget when I worked at a grocery store, they dumped PILES of MEAT. Especially STEAKS and PORK CHOPS instead of reducing the price. The sheer food waste at a grocery store blew my mind. Entire aisles of food still six months away from expiration dumped.
