one of the first webcomics I read was Octopus Pie, which I vaguely remember either being associated with this comic or maybe the artist being friends with them? I do remember seeing ads for Blaster Nation on the Octopus Pie site.
Also, while I think the girls from the Octopus Pie comic are probably better off than the Dashr girls, I can see some similarities I can appreciate especially from the earlier comics. Especially since Eve was kinda a short angry girl stuck in a downwardly mobile position who vaguely tolerated and resented her friend.
