Yes, and it has been since 2015 when Vincent Waller became showrunner. It's had its ups and downs and it can never hope to measure up to the classics (nostalgia is a hell of a drug) but I overall like the direction the series took. If you want a goofy cartoon that embraces being a goofy cartoon, SpongeBob is what you watch.
