The idea behind the "muh healthcare collapse" came from the erroneous assumptions that:
>people had zero immunity to the virus
>it spread just like the flu
>the risk was high for all cohorts
Turns out people had some immunity to the virus, infection granted lasted immunity to future strands, unlike the flu COVID-19 didn't spread easily from children and in fact it was old people and obese people who spread it the most and the risk for children and young adults was lower than that of the flu.

Sweden didn't have lockdowns in place and they didn't have a healthcare collapse. They did have a higher mortality in very old and sick people early on, but six months later they had a LOWER mortality rate than expected which suggests that the people who died only had a few months left to live.

In most of the world, in fact, the average COVID death was around the age expectancy was already sick.

COVID was overblown.
