They do value the ecosystem but their fixation with technology and human advancement puts them at odds with the sentiment in preserving nature. Similar to how democrats are pro-gun control but puts them at odds with their restrict police rhetoric.
Both want it all and have zero consideration for the drawbacks for how one policy will negatively effect the other, which is why I’m all for nuclear energy because it satisfies all power needs and eliminates the drawbacks from the others.
