Those would probably be some of those that didn't like Nightwing and were mad that Jason had to take up the leotard. They existed.
There's a whole alternative scenario where if Dick wasn't allowed to graduate the mantle, Jason would've had to take on a different codename, Moench remembers it being "Nightbird" which seems a bit too oddly similar to Nightwing.
