Nah, this was just a cope from conservatives who couldn't understand that people came out to vote in droves against an orange retard who tried to gaslight a virus and dismantled federal pandemic protection programs for profit. Nobody liked Biden. The DNC just pushed him as nominee and everyone was happy to vote for "not Trump" because it was the first time in a while that an administration so boldly fucked something up that actually affected people's lives. COVID only became such a hot topic because Trump fucking bungled it like only Trump could. Of course, that's precisely what triggered his base into labeling it as a democrat hoax. It's hilarious how quickly and completely rightoids memory-holed the fact that Trump was in office when COVID started and he was responsible for all the vaccine development and policies they cried about for the next 4 years.
The majority never really votes "for" anyone. It's always against the other guy. That's why most presidents win re-election. We're just finally at such a late stage in capitalism that these corrupt fucks can't go 4 years without tipping their hand so badly that even a good chunk of mouth-breathing American voters can tell they're being jerked.
