Nanite probably, the NVJ trio didn't know about solverhosts (conciously) yet both N and V used their nanite stingers on Yeva and Nori. Nori was just lucky since Khan tells Uzi he bashed Nori's head in, so she was probably melting either in the torso or head, something to allow her core to stay clean and crawl out.
I assume Yeva was likely shot by V and then stung which could be why her chest looks so burnt out, if V had eaten it and torn it out there would be far worse damage and visible ribs.
The nanite stinger is very rarely used tho, I wonder why N and V never tried it against Cyn in 8.
Unrelated but N absolutely definitely permakilled two workers in the pilot, one was stung in the core before being decapitated and the other was lasered in half, splitting the core. Since no singularity escaped this implies the WDs system registered Fatal error so quickly the failsafe worked before the laser finished its work.
I headcanon that the failsafe is actually nanite acid which was invented by JCJenson, this is stored in the failsafe pins (hence the lights on their ends, that could be it) and gets injected in the vaccum chamber which holds the singularity. (If failsafe doesn't work likeon ZDs it is due to wear as we read in the tape in 5, so this nanite acid can apparently go bad under certain conditions)
