Yes it's this. The demo that made starwars a multi billion dollar IP for 30 years before Disney bought it. The people who made marvel and DC household names. All of it. They just assumed this group is stupid, and all they care about are "the cool kids". The cool kids don't like them. The cool kids only care about appearing cool. They a stupid. They are sheep who follow trends to follow trends and follow the next trend when it comes up. They aren't comitted and they don't care.
On the iterhand you have these other people who do care and our content creating oligarchs HATE them so much they get ulcers from it. They hate seeing them at conventions, in stores, online, in the theaters. They hate seeing them pull out fist fulls of cash from their tethered wallets and they mald uncontrollably when they pass over that money.
