This is literally only because of NSA rigging two years, Spinel rigging 2019, and IRL events giving monarch a boost. Raven would have won in 2019 without Spinel, Toph would have won 2020 without Fang, and we’d probably be down Shego or Chel by now even allowing for an upset.
2024 was the first year since 2018 to have a traditional powerhouse win. Arguably ever since Jenny came out of nowhere in the second half of 2018 and wasn’t a favorite going in
