Trey and Matt tacitly agreed at the meeting but are fucking livid that they were humilated like this in private. They complained to the Comedy Cental executives over this debasement but the Comedy Central executives were not sympathetic. They pushed their luck and busted out. Comedy Central executives told Trey and Matt if they expected them to destroy their lives for them and that shit has changed. Kirk is dead and the public want blood and they brought this on themselves crapping on Kirk prior to this death.
Trey and Matt suggested rerunning a chopped up version for TV of the South Park movie to buy time/burn through their contract, since they are at the point that they want out of the show if Skydance is going to start treating them as anything but pampered poochies who can do whatever they want. Comedy Central countered by offering to extend the hiatus and asked them to just produce some filler episodes (another Terrance and Phillip episode or something like Great Expectations where a character reenacts a plot from a famous public domain book). But who knows what this week's episode will be, especially since Trey and Matt are pissed off like they've never been pissed off before.
