Adding to this: Parker and Stone are NOT trying to get fired or Comedy Central sued. They have a huge amount of debt that they can't pay off and the collateral they put down for the debt was their ownership stake on the streaming rights of the show. If they default, the people they owe money to will forever own their share of the streaming rights, robbing them and their families that steady stream of income. They just want to shit on Trump because they legit hate him and in Matt's case, think if they shit on Trump enough, he'll get some of the scripts he's been writing behind Trey's back made into films.

Comedy Central meanwhile is terrified that the Ellisons will turn their attention towards them to "fix" the network. Right now, they Ellisons/Skydance are more interested in restoring MTV to it's former glory but Comedy Central has been opening siding with Parker and Stone over their new bosses and they got the fear put into them big time after Kirk's death.
