Worse than that is that the "divine judgment" thing seem to be entirely arbitrary and random, because if heaven itself doesn't know how human souls enter their realm and are ignorant about the mechanics of redemption (as implied by Sir Pentious' transformation), then it's all gibberish worldbuilding.
