This seemed like the pretty obvious explanation for her knowing, seeing as it's clear that Chris and Ads are close, and he feels most comfortable confiding in her about what's going on in his life. I don't even think "Ads helped Chris" is a necessary assumption, again I think the most normal assumption is that him hallucinating his dad was just a very short-term post-traumatic response to having killed his father. Most of the time, people deal with even very traumatic events over time, you don't have to be fully over something to no longer be in immediate crisis over it.
