Oh I agree that the techniques used to produce Owl House was a obvious shift in the overall aesthetics. I feel though it was more so the felt of the corporate heads who allocated resource to a project and demanded visual changes for an easier time on overseas studios in a timely manner. All the character look like twigs compared to a lot of the promotional material. Eda was far more shapely for one. Even the source material in Dana's online volume of work before she got her content nuked from Twatter. You can see visible changes, but I just accept it because that is the business. The business sucks.
