My gripe isn't even with the voice acting, I thought it was mediocre. Not great, not terrible. My problem lies moreso in that the entire thing felt like a missed opportunity.
From what I saw with the teaser and trailers KoV would have been a bizarre mix of synergistic sci-fi and fantasy, a type of hyper-creative sub-genre that rarely gets tapped into whatsoever. I couldn't even tell what aesthetic or genre they were going for with the pilot and it seems the entire theme of the show can be boiled down to "greed = bad". I don't know anything about Dana's previous works but the lack of creativity and original ideas put to use here is absolutely astounding.
