The universe has existed for aeons in the Garou mythology, spirits have existed before any biological life. If we're taking it seriously, and you don't think shit like Ice Ages, Droughts, Global Warming Non Human Edition, Meteors, Mild Spirit Fuckery, Triadic Spirit Fuckery, Volcanos, Basic Predation and more hasn't fucking killed species?
We don't kill species that exist deep in the jungles or most isolated places Anon, especially hyper specialized species. They die naturally. Several thousands of insect species get wiped out and nobody blinks, birds have gone extinct, same with several lizards, several mamals, several of everything really. Most nature shit happens in nature, and a lot of species are inherently far more fragile than you think, where a few colder winters can nearly wipe out most life in some neck of the woods.
If you're going to complain megafauna got killed and give reason to the Wolves to mega kill us all in the setting, then you should be mega hating the Wyrm in general because that shit is Meant To Happen Anyways Eventually.
